Butterfly Symphony

Hello friends, I can share this card now as it has arrived at the recipients house - I love 'mixing it up' and trying different things - Mixed Media intrigues me and this is the result of some creative time...

The background has been stamped using a script background stamp and sponged using Imagine Crafts Memento Ink in Summer Sky.  A cut/embossed Spellbinders Mary Border has been layered onto white card and added to the script layer - slightly off centred using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: E-Z Adhesive Runner.

A butterfly from Penny Black inc has been heated embossed using white and sponged with yellow and orange ink,  An IndigoBlu butterfly has been stamped and coloured using Chameleon Pens and then layered onto the larger butterfly - these have then been layered onto the Mary Strip using liquid glue.

Inking and splattering have followed - in no particular order, finishing off with Imagine Crafts Goosebumps in Dandelion and Tangerine.  Large Want2Scrap Pearls have been added to the braid and the butterfly's body.

The Sky is the Limit

Hello friends - I have a very quick card to share with you today - infact it is probably one of the quickest cards I have ever made - and you can find out how to do it....by scrolling ....

I have used the Spellbinders Row Houses that have been cut/embossed using black card and popped up onto whte card stock.  I have  a few of these left from kits that are surplus and I am finally wading through them.  I love the Silhouette look to these and have created a warm glow behind them by sponging using  Imagine Crafts Radiant Neon Inks - I limit the colours to three and have gone with Electric green, Yellow and Orange.

A little spritzing with water and a few sequins - and wah-la - done - just needs popping up onto a precut card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.  The computer generated sentiment has been adhered using double sided tape.

Wishing You

Hello friends - thank you for all of your visits and the lovely comments you leave me, I love knowing you have been and appreciate you taking the time to leave the encouragement that you do!  I have something adorable to share with you today - how gorgeous is this little kitten from the 3D line of Spellbinders Stamps - as a friend of mine would say #totesadorbs! LOL!

The kitten is the Christmas Kitten Holiday 3D Shading Stamp and they really are as easy as they say to use.  I have stamped the image using Imagine Crafts Memento Ink in Expresso Truffle, lightly adding some colour on the ribbon, ornament and eyes.  It has been fussy cut/hand cut using scissors - a very easy task with this image.

The pink card base has been cut/embossed using the A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator #7 (#1 being the smallest).  The card stock has been folded in the centre and the fold line placed inside the cutting edge on the A2 Matting Basics, to form the card base.  White card has been cut using A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator #6 (#1 being the smallest).

The centre of the white card has been sponged using Imagine Radiant Neon's in Electric Yellow, Electric Pink and Electric Orange, using a sponge dauber,  White ink has been randomly splattered onto the sponged area,  The image has been popped up onto the lower portion of the sponged layer using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam squares.  A computer generated sentiment and sequins have been added.  This layer has been popped up into the card base using  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam squares.  So very quick and easy - don't you agree.  I think I will be using this stamp for more than Christmas cards - it is suitable for so many occasions!

Spellbinders - Beautiful

Hello friends, it has been a few days between posts - my DD2, SIL and DGS have moved house and it is a HUGE task for all - hopefully the last of it will be done by the end of the weekend and life can resume to normal - if there is such a thing!! LOL!   I have a very quick card for you today but so pretty - don;'t you think?!

I have used the Spellbinders Cabbage Roses Embossing Folder with grey card stock.  Next I have sponged the roses using Imagine Crafts Memento in Rhubarb Stalk and the leaves in Bamboo Leaves.  This is done quickly and not detailed - it gives a better look - in my opinion that is.

The sentiment is by Stacey Caron and can be found HERE.  It has been stamped using Black Ink and Die Cut using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles #3 (#1 being the smallest),  The Die has been used as a stencil, sponging on the inside of the day using Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves.  This has then been popped up onto the embossed layer, using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam squares.  A premade flower has been added along with  Want2Scrap Swirls Finesse in Plum.
