Spellbinders Tutorial - Traditional Birthday Card


A little change of pace for me,  I am sharing my Spellbinders Tutorial on my Blog today - it hope you enjoy it.   The theme is Traditional Birthday cards...we can never have too many of them - can we!?!

Using white card stock and the Grand Calibur Machine cut/emboss one (1) A2 Round Corner Basics A making sure the folded line is inside the cutting blade of the Die to form card base. Cut/emboss one (1) A2 Curved Matting Basics B using the Graphic 45 patterned paper. Sand around the embossed edges using a Sanding Block.  Adhere the patterned paper to the card base using












Using white card, cut/emboss one (1) Gold Majesty Circles and one (1) Standard Circles LG #6.  Remove the Gold Majesty Circles from the die.  Before removing the Standard Circles LG, use the Die as a Stencil and sponge using Delicata Pigment Ink in Golden Glitz.

Adhere the Gold Majesty Circles to the using SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ - E-Z Runner - permanent strips, followed by the Standard Circles LG using SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ - 3D Foam Squares



Apply Masking Tape to the back of both  Quatrefoil Band Border Long Dies, to ensure they do not move while being cut.  Sponge the deboss side of the Die using Delicata Ink in Golden Glitz, place card on top and cut/emboss one (1) Quatrefoil Band Border Long Die white cardstock, making sure to use both the cutting edge and the insert.
Cut to required length and adhere to lower portion of the card, applying across the Gold Majesty Circles, at the same time tucking under the Standard Circles, using the E-Z Runner - permanent strips.
Cut one (1) 




Cut/emboss one (1)Birthday Cake in gold Precious Metals Premium Craft Foil also one in brown card stock. Cut one (1) set of candles. Lightly sand the gold cake stand and adhere to the layered Dies, followed by the 'brown' cake and candles.




Using Liquid Glue, adhere the sentiment across the cake, the double Seam Binding Bow to the left side of the layered Dies and a button to the bow.  Finish off by adding Want2Scrap pearls to the top of the Gold Majesty Circles and also a medium pearl to the button.
