Nested Cups

It is not too often I get to make a set of cards, but I am recycling some tags I created some time ago and have not used - the Spellbinders Nested Tea Cups are too adorable not to use.

Each card has the same basic elements, I have used a combination of blue, pink and green with each card - giving them a 'Shabby' feel.

A combination of layered Dies from the Parisian Motifs, Nested Tea Cups and  Floral Doily Motifs Shapeabilities.

I have used the Spellbinders Asian M-Bossabilities folder.Want2Scrap bling is added to each card, along with Mulberry Rose, this sentiment is from Penny Black® Inc.

Each card has it's own feel

This card has been embossed using the Spellbinders Garden Lattice M-Bossabilities folder and a sentiment from  JustRite® Papercraft

The final card also has the Spellbinders Garden Lattice M-Bossabilities folder on the patterned paper

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set from Layers of Color and the gorgeous bling is from Want2Scrap

Postcard Birds

Vintage cards are such a pleasure to create, they would be my favourite style, I always refer to it as very 'kind' with it's distressed lines and muted shades.

Soft tones feature in this card, using the Penny Black Inc harmony cling stamp for the background, this image has been cut using the Spellbinders™ A-2 Matting Basics B Nestabilities®and the Grand Calibur® Machine

and an adorable Crafty Individuals Seven Cheeky Songbirds image for the center, lightly coloured using Tsukineko Memento Markers, I love this image - it is the first time I have used it,but definitely won't be the last - infact the whole site is divine, their images appeal to me greatly!

Finishing off with Want2Scrap bling and pearls, lace and Mulberry Roses - a little bit nostalgic and totally easy.

In my Thoughts

It is a very quiet Sunday afternoon, the things I should be doing are still waiting for me and I suspect will be waiting a little while longer while I try and find the motivation....but as for card making - never lacking motivation there! LOL!

When I am creating cards I try to think about the different occasions we give cards for - some of them are not always happy reasons - this is the kind of card I have made today - to encourage or comfort someone, letting them know we are thinking of them.

I have used a sentiment from a Stampin' Up set that I was given sometime ago but it has not seen ink until now - I don't know why as I love the sentiments in it.  I have used Tsukineko Memento Peanut Brittle Ink and cut it out using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine and Labels Twenty Nine Nestabilities.  Before removing the card from the Die, I have used it as a stencil and sponged the inside edges, also using the Tsukineko Peanut Brittle.

The patterned paper has been embossed using the Spellbinders™ Dotted Flowers  M-Bossabilities™ folder.

I have also added leaves from my stash, Seam Binding ribbon and now, along with a Mulberry Rose and Want2Scrap bling.

This card is for the following challenges:
Sweet Stampin -  Ribbon
Inspire Me Fridays – Anything Goes
QKR Stampede – Soft Pastels
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes
Delightful Challenges - Thinking of You Project
Moving Along With The Times - Bling it on
 Crafts and Me - Vintage
Papertake Weekly - Tie up your loose ends
House of Gilli - Anything goes with pink and bling
Make it Monday - always Anything Goes
 My Craft Spot - Bling

Bird King

It is Australia Day here and a day we all celebrate, often with a BBQ - who doesn't love that!  Australia has been my home for 32 years this year and I count myself blessed to be here - it is a wonderful place!

My card today is created using an image from Glitz - I love this image that has been stamped using Tsukineko Versafine in Vintage Sepia and cut out using the Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG and  Floral Ovals  Nestabilities®

I have added a little bit of colour to the bird using Tsukineko Memento Markers - just lightly, along with a touch of shimmer to the wings.  This has been layered using foam tape onto the Floral Ovals  Nestabilities® and in turn layered onto patterned paper cut using the Spellinders™  Grand Calibur® Machine and  5 x 7 Detailed Scallops Nestabilities®

The sentiment is made from some stickers from my stash and added to the 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops Nestabilities®.  The white card has been sponged, using the Die as a Stencil, before removing from the Die

I have finished off by using some Want2Scrap Bling  Swirls Finesse - Rhinestones

This card is for the following challenges:
Brown Sugar – Valentines
Delicious Doodles - All you need is LOVE
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes
Crafts and Me - Vintage
Craft Room Challenge - Monochrome
Paper Playtime - Use some Brown
Stamp and Create - Love

I have coloured him using Tsukineko Memento Markers, stamping, then colouring a second heart that has been cut out and popped up on foam tape.

and cut out the coloured image using Spellbinders A2 Distressed Edges Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine.  I have used the Die as a Stencil, sponging with Tsukineko  Dessert Sand Memento Ink.
