Filigree Cross

It was 'Love at First Sight' for me when I saw the Spellbinders Crosses Two  Shapeabilities

so much detail and gorgeous filigree - it was definitely 'calling my name,' especially when I am creating Easter cards at the moment.

I have layered it onto the Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestibilities - can you tell I am loving this new Die too - the paper piercing around the oval is such a gorgeous touch.

The sentiment is computer generated and has been cut using the Fancy Tags Shapeabilities.  All of my Dies have been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine - it certainly makes it easier because you can cut so many Dies at once!  The patterned paper has been embossed using the 'B' sandwich from the Enchanted M-bossabilities Embossing Folder

One again another quick card, but not lacking any details, thanks to my lovely Spellbinders Die Templates - what did I ever do without them? LOL!

This card is for the following challenges:
Alphabet Challenge - D for Dry Embossing
Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - 3 of a kind  (3 Dies used)
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything goes
Just Add Ink - Easter
Stampin' For The Weekend - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Easter
Crafty Purple Frog - Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes

Happy Easter

I am back to share something a little bit cute today, just to' mix it up a bit!'  One of the things about selling your cards is that you have to do a variety of styles, not all of them your own 'comfort zone!'

I have had this image for over two years *head hung in shame* and decided it was time to get it onto a card, especially with Easter approaching so quickly.

I have cute the image out using the Spellbinders Labels Twenty One, using the Die Template as a mask before taking the image out - I always love the look of this technique.  My Die has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur® Machine .  Some added Bakers Twine and a button.

Shimmer added to the egg shell - using 3D Kindy Glitz

Finishing off with a sentiment and some brads.

This card is for the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - Easter
Aud Sentiments Challenge - a project with the sentiment "Happy Easter"
Charisma Cardz - Easter
Crafty Purple Frog - Anything goes
Moving Along With The Times - Cute and Cuddly
Paper Play - Easter
My Mum's Craft shop - use a rubber stamp
Ruby's Rainbow - Easter
Top Tip Tuesday - Easter & or Animals

Easter Greetings

I love to create but there are those moments when I feel panic set in - one of those being this week when the local store that sells my cards needed a top up of 40 cards....Now, I know that is a good thing but it also sent my stock of  'reserves' back a bit - not a great feeling....especially when they ordered 12 Easter cards on top of that!

Once my 'panic' subsided I got out my Spellbinders Die Templates, along with the Grand Calibur and was off to a good start.  Images was the next thing - so I printed off some free digi's from the Magic Moonlight Free Images Blog and I was on my way!

I cut out this image using the Spellbinders Labels Fifteen  and the Spellbinders Grand Calibur Die Cutting Machine

The sentiment is computer generated - I cannot believe that I do not own one stamp with Happy Easter on it, or something along that line....I need to rectify that!  The sentiment is cut using the Spellbinders Ribbon Banner Dies

Some gorgeous crochet lace and Mulberry Paper Flowers and pearls - but you knew that didn't you! LOL!

and one very quick, vintage card is finished - it doesn't get much easier than this as the Girlz in my Card Design Class are going to find out tonight as we recreate this card along with one other....

This card is for the following challenges:
 Ruby's Rainbow - Easter
Scrapbook Sisters - Easter
Scrapalicious - Easter
rhood of Crafters - Easter
Anything Goes Challenge - Get ready For Easter
Paper and Such Design - Spring Or Easter
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Easter & Or Animals
Try It On Tuesday - Easter Theme

PB Pink Paradise

It has been a few days between posts for me, which is unusual - it is not that I am not creating, but I am working on some thing I cannot show you just yet, but will be able to soon...

In the meantime I have been colouring some images I have had sitting around for a long time - colouring is so soothing - love it!

I have coloured an image from Penny Black - I love her images and was delighted to discover that they are more than just hedgehogs (LOL) although I do love them too....

The image has been cut using Spellbinders Labels Two and a Die from the Spellbinders Ironworks Accents Die.  I have cut this in half and framed the DieCut image with it - a different way to use your Dies - I love to find more than one way for each one - makes them so versatile!

The sentiment is from the retired Layers of Color Sentimental Banners clear art stamp set, which coordinates beautifully with the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners Die - that makes it so easy...and we love that!  All Dies have been cut with the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

Lace, buttons and twine all help finish off this card and give it some dimension.

This card is for the following challenges:

SSIC Layers

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is hosted by the lovely Miesje - who has chosen :

"If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?” Romans 8:31b-32

Miesje has challenged us to create a card or project that uses everything! The opposite of a CAS – toss on the embellishments and/or different papers, textures.

This challenge worked perfectly for me as I wanted to create a special Sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her husband and I wanted to fill it with all of the embellishments that she loves (and I do too) and have it overflowing with ambiance and love.

KandCompany paper, lace, pearls, Layers of Color Art Stamps, Spellbinders Paper Arts  Dies, Mulberry Roses, Seam Binding - all of those divine things we love to use.

Lots of details - anything but CAS and one of my favourite styles of cards !

This card is for the following challenges:
Fussy and Fancy - Anything but a Square/Rectangle

Thoughts of God

It is a windy day here, so I am avoiding out in the garden...instead I am showing you a card with flowers - that counts - doesn't it!? LOL!  You have to give me points for trying!

I have used a sentiment for my focal point, it is from a retired Layers of Color art stamp set, called Dotted Dahlia, illustrated by NinaB Designs.

The sentiment has been cut out using the Spellbinders Standard Circle Nestibilities, that I have framed with the  Spellbinders Holly Accents Die, I cut the largest Motif in half the placed it each side of the Circle....giving an lovely filigree frame.  I have used the Spellbinders Grand Calibur to cut my Dies.

Mulberry Paper roses have also been added.

Buttons - I am loving using them lately....

My paper is from Pink Paislee - divine in every way!

This card is for the following challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - Welcome Spring
Sassy Cheryl's - Think Spring
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes
Lollipop Crafts - Sentiment is the Focus
Use Your Stuff - Anything Goes

Tweet of You

On this gorgeous Autumn day here in Canberra, I could not resist sharing a card created using a NinaB Designs image.

I could not resist this darling set, although 'cute' is not a style I do too often, I do enjoy 'going there' sometimes - it is a very different thought process for me...but one I enjoy!!

I have used The Craft's Meow set Tweet of You, illustrated by NinaB Designs, along with the Spellbinders Parisian Motifs Die, using the Die as a Mask to create a sponged frame on the inside of the Die Template. The Die has been cut using the Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

Seam Binding - a must and a gorgeous Mulberry Paper Rose - such a divine combination (in my opinion)

Not too many layers (for me) yet added dimension and an extra touch of 'Tweet-ness' thrown into the mix! LOL!

Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Shabby Chic/Vintage
Get Hippity with Ippity - Things with Wings

This weeks Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge is brought to us by the lovely MariLynn who has chosen:
'He made the moon to mark the seasons', Psalm 104:19

MariLynn's challenge is With the change of seasons this week, make a card/project showing something related to the new season.

While spring is on it's way for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, here 'Down Under' things are changing and Autumn/Fall is on it's way - so I have used COOL colours, along with one of NinaB Designs New Licensed Dies for Spellbinders Paper Arts, called Sewing Elements, along with the Spellbinders Labels Four and Fancy Tags Three.  I love trying different Dies together, there are so many combinations - the possibilities are endless.
